The Hotel has a long standing reputation for fine food, traditional beers and a pleasant selection of wines. Our extensive menu includes locally caught sea foods and traditional Welsh steaks. We want you to enjoy our hotel and the friendly ambiance of the bar. The Hotel has recently been totally refurbished, at the end of 1997. All rooms are en-suite with fully tiled bathrooms, colour television, tea / coffee making facilities and full central heating. We believe the standard of accommodation to be among the best in North Wales. Barmouth is a flourishing holiday resort, meeting the needs of all age groups. There are leisurely trips up the River Mawddach or fishing out in the bay. The town boasts miles of safe, golden sands and clear water. There are all weather amusements and water sport activities, you can learn to windsurf, climb a mountain, visit a Welsh hill farm or walk the mountain trails. There are two golf courses nearby and Barmouth's own late nightspot, The Sandancer, Portmeirion - Sir Clough Williams-Ellis's Italianesque village creation can be visited, or a ride taken on one of the 'Great Little Trains of Wales'. |
